Shopper Approved is in the business of collecting and displaying
customer ratings and reviews. We understand that your privacy is important to you, and that you care about how
your information is used and shared online. We respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits Our
Site and will only collect and use information in ways that are useful to you and in a manner consistent
with your rights and Our obligations under the law.
This Policy applies to Our use of any and all data collected by us in relation to your
use of Our Site. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and ensure that you understand it. Your
acceptance of Our Privacy Policy is deemed to occur upon your first use of Our Site if you are a
Non-European resident. If you are a European resident, you will be specifically asked to accept our
privacy and cookie policy when you (a) sign up for our services as a client, or (b) use our services
to leave a rating or review as one of our client’s customers. If you do not accept and
agree with this Privacy Policy, we ask that you please do not use Our Site.
Section 1 - Definitions and Interpretation
In this Policy the following terms shall have the following meanings:
"Account"
means an account required to access and/or use certain areas and features of Our Site. This
applies to Our clients, which are businesses that we actively collect ratings and reviews
for.
"Cookie"
means a small text file placed on your computer or device by Our Site when you visit certain
parts of Our Site and/or when you use certain features of Our Site. Details of the Cookies used
by Our Site are set out in section 12, below
"Our Site"
means this website, http://www.shopperapproved.com,
or forms that are displayed on Our client’s websites in order to collect or display ratings and
reviews.
"We/Us/Our"
means Shopper Approved, LLC, a limited liability company registered in Utah,
under whose registered address is 155 31st St, Ogden, UT 84401.

This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of Our Site.
It does not extend to any websites that are linked to from Our Site
(whether We provide those links or whether they are shared by other users).
We have no control over how your data is collected, stored or used by other
websites and We advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites
before providing any data to them.
Section 4 - What Data Do We Collect?
Some data will be collected automatically by Our Site, other data will only be collected if you
voluntarily submit it and/or consent to Us using it for the purposes set out in section 5. (For
example, when signing up for an Account as a client, or leaving a rating or review as a customer
of a client.)
Depending upon your use of Our Site, We may collect some or all of the

For Shopper Approved Clients:
- You must register and pay for your Account in order to use the service. The registration
process asks for a full name, password, email address, address, zip code, phone number, and
credit card number (which is not stored on our servers, however, the last four digits of
your card are displayed in the billing section for your convenience).
- Business/Company name
- Contact information of other staff who may need access to your Account, which can include a
full name and an email address.
- IP address (automatically collected)
- Web browser type and version (automatically collected)
- Operating system (automatically collected)
- A list of URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on Our Site, and the site you
exit to (automatically collected)
- Any other information you choose to share publicly. For example, anything you post to
Shopper Approved.
For Shopper Approved Client’s Customers leaving a rating or review or other feedback:
- First and Last Name (although we only post your first name and the first letter of your last
name with your review. If you don’t want to use your name, you can use an alias or web
name).
- Contact information such as email address (if receiving a follow up survey via email), or a
telephone number (if receiving a follow up survey via text message).
- IP address (automatically collected)
- Web browser type and version (automatically collected)
- Operating system (automatically collected)
- A list of URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on Our Site, and the site you
exit to (automatically collected)
- Transaction data, such as: products purchased, order ID, product price, product quantity,
product images, and product description. This does not include financial information - we
only collect information that will help us to to authenticate and enhance or improve the
quality of your review.
- Our clients have the option to share reviews left about them on Our platform, to their
social media portals. If you would like to have your review removed from one of Our clients'
social media portals, you will need to contact the company directly and have them remove it
from the specific social media platforms. Posts to social media will contain: The reviewer's
display name as left on our platform, the overall rating, and the written review.
- Any other information you choose to share publicly on the Shopper Approved survey.
If you are under the age of 16, we ask that you please to not sign up for our services as a
client, or leave any type of rating or review as one of our client’s customers.
Section 5 - How Do We Use Your Data?

General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (GDPR). For more

- Supplying you with emails e.g. newsletters, alerts, etc. that we feel are necessary
for you to be able to effectively utilize our Services.

feedback:

- Providing support and assistance for the Services

- Enforcing our Terms of Service
We will only process your Personal Data if we have a lawful basis for doing
so. Lawful bases for processing include consent, contractual necessity and our "legitimate
interests" or the legitimate interest of others, as further described below.
- In some cases, the collection of data may be a statutory or contractual
requirement, and We will be limited in the services we can provide you without your consent
for Us to be able to use such data.
- With your permission and/or where permitted by law, We may also use your
data for marketing purposes which may include contacting you by email AND/OR telephone
AND/OR text message AND/OR mail with information, news and offers on Our products AND/OR
related services. We will not, however, send you any unsolicited marketing or spam, and will
take all reasonable steps to ensure that We fully protect your rights and comply with Our
obligations under the GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive)
Regulations 2003, as amended in 2004, 2011 and 2015.
- Advertisers whose content may appear on Our Site may engage in what is
known as “behavioural advertising” – advertising which is tailored to your preferences,
based on your activity. Your activity is monitored using Cookies, as detailed below in

- We only keep your data for as long as We need to in order to use it
as described above in section 5, and/or for as long as We have your permission to keep
it. In any event, We will conduct an annual review to ascertain whether
we need to keep your data.
- Data security is of great importance to Us, and to protect your data
We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to
safeguard and secure data collected through Our Site and stored on Our servers.
- Notwithstanding the security measures that We take, it is important to remember that the

advised to take suitable precautions when transmitting to Us data via the internet.

- We may share your data with other companies in Our group of
companies. This includes Our subsidiaries AND/OR Our holding company and its
subsidiaries.

behalf. These may include payment processing, delivery of goods, search engine
facilities, advertising and marketing. In some cases, the third parties may require
access to some or all of your data. Where any of your data is required for such a
purpose, We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data will be handled
safely, securely, and in accordance with your rights, Our obligations, and the
obligations of the third party under the law.

traffic, usage patterns, user numbers, sales and other information. All such data will
be anonymised and will not include any personally identifying information. We may from
time to time share such data with third parties such as prospective investors,

data held by Us, which may include your personal information, for example, where We are
involved in legal proceedings, where We are complying with the requirements of

Section 8 - What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?
- We may, from time to time, expand or reduce Our business and this may
involve the sale and/or the transfer of control of all or part of Our business. Data
provided by users will, where it is relevant to any part of Our business so transferred,
be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will,
under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use the data for the purposes
for which it was originally collected by Us.
- In the event that any of your data is to be transferred in such a
manner, you will be contacted in advance and informed of the changes. When contacted you
will be given the choice to have your data deleted or withheld from the new owner or
controller.
Section 9 - How Can You Control Your Data?
- When you submit information via Our Site, it’s recorded in our secure
database. We aim to give you controls on Our use of your data (including the ability to
opt-out of receiving emails from Us, which you may do by unsubscribing using the links
provided in Our emails, sending an email to privacy (@) shopperapproved.com requesting a
copy of any personal information or requesting the removal of your information, AND/OR
by managing your Account if you are a Shopper Approved client.)
Section 10 - Your Right to Withhold Information and Your Right to Withdraw Information After You
Have Given it
- You may access certain areas of Our Site without providing any data
at all. However, to use all features and functions available on Our Site you may be
required to submit or allow for the collection of certain data.
- You may restrict your internet browser's use of Cookies. For more
information, see section 12 and Our Cookie Policy.
- You may withdraw your consent for Us to use your personal data, as
set out in section 5, by contacting Us using the details set out in section 15, and We
will delete your data from Our systems. However, you acknowledge this may severely limit
Our ability to provide our services to you.
- For Our clients who have a customer that requests to review or remove
their personal data, simply contact us using the information in section 11 below, and we
will send you a copy of the customer’s data or remove their data based on your
request, within 30 days of the request.
- For Our client's customers leaving ratings and reviews… Our
clients have the option to share reviews left about them on Our platform to their social
media portals. If you would like to have your review removed from one of Our clients'
social media portals, you will need to contact the company directly and have them remove
it from their specific social media accounts. Any posts to social media will contain the
reviewer's display name as left on our platform, the overall rating, and the written
review.
Section 11 - How Can You Access Your Data?
If you are one of our client’s customers, you have the legal right to ask for a copy of
any of your personal data held by Us (where such data is held). If you are Our client, you
have an obligation to request that we send a copy of any personal data to your customer if
they request it. Whether you are a client or one of our client’s customers, please
contact Us for more details at privacy (@) shopperapproved.com, or using
the contact details below in section 15.
Section 12 - What Cookies Do We Use and What For?
- Our Site may place and access certain first party Cookies on your
computer or device. First party Cookies are those placed directly by Us and are used
only by Us. We use Cookies to facilitate and improve your experience of Our Site and to
provide and improve Our products and services. For more details, please refer to section
5, above, and to section 12(E) below. We have carefully chosen these Cookies and have
taken steps to ensure that your privacy is protected and respected at all times.
- By using Our Site you may also receive certain third party Cookies on
your computer or device. Third party Cookies are those placed by websites, services,
and/or parties other than Us. We use third party Cookies on Our Site for advertising
services with Clickfunnels, Facebook and Hubspot. In addition, Our Site uses analytics
services provided by Google, which also use Cookies. Website analytics refers to a set
of tools used to collect and analyse usage statistics, enabling Us to better understand

Section 17 - Third-party Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable
Information, except to very specific partners to which we supply limited information to in
order for them to display Our client’s customers ratings and reviews. If you request to have
your personally identifiable information removed from our system, we will in turn attempt to
remove that information from our syndication partners by removing it from the feeds we provide them.
If you are a Client, and you choose to allow Shopper Approved to collect and syndicate video
reviews to YouTube on your behalf, you will be required to share your Google credentials with
Shopper Approved. These settings fall under Google's Privacy Policy found here:

Section 18 - Third-party Links
Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on

therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked
sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback
about these sites.
